The question is supposed to be: What is the difference between a duck?

Answer: One of it's legs is both the same.

It is also meant to be a joke; not a theory on the origins of the universe. It may say something about whether God is a duck or not but I guess that will always be an open question.

Except for quacks.

+ - John McAfee Accused of Murder->

UnresolvedExternal (665288) writes "McAfee, 67, is the prime suspect in a murder discovered Sunday morning in Belize. Convinced that he’ll be killed if he’s taken into custody for questioning, the millionaire antivirus pioneer has gone into hiding somewhere in the Central American nation, where he moved in 2008 to retire."

+ - Africa makers get energy from pee->

Submitted by aglider
aglider (2435074) writes "A few sources is reporting about this technology breakthrough.
A group of African students built a small generator where with

1 Liter of urine gives you 6 hours of electricity.

It's not 100% clear how much energy you can get out of that liter (you insensitive Imperial clod) though.
It's also not 100% clear whether the main aim of the setup is to purify water or to generate energy thanks to electrolysis.
In any case either aim would be a great thing in a continent like Africa. And the whole world as well."

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Dear god this must be a slow news day - I have never seen such a blatant slashvertisment in all the time I have wasted here.

If you are tired of reading ads then read about the interesting stuff the mars rover found the other day, or maybe about this interesting comet

Please Slashdot - don't make me hate you!

Spy Gadgets: A Visit With the Real-Life Q 73

AlistairCharlton writes in a neat article about night vision watches, video recording glasses, and other real-life spy gadgets. "Q (real name Jeremy Marks) has run SpyMaster for 20 years and has three branches in central London. The company sells a wide range of covert equipment, from recorders disguised as chewing gum wrappers and watches with night vision cameras, to body armour and home security. Far from meeting our Quartermaster deep in the bowels of MI5 or at an abandoned Underground station, we were invited into SpyMaster's flagship store just off Oxford street; it's a glass-fronted shop just like any other - no M, no whiskey cabinet (so far as we could see) and no ejector seats in sight. I am guilty of posting after a few beers so mod me down as I deserve ...

Slashdot is definitely the wrong place to pose this question as you may have already realised - if an open source god didn't exist then slashdot would have invented one

My two cents? Take the path of least resistance. Choose the best thing you think you can successfully deliver on time to make the business work. When you have more time you can make things work better - if they don't work in the first place then no one will care about your well intentioned ideas

At the same time - don't give up on your aspirations, just remember, deliver something you can control in the time given - you probably already know what that is.
