Uma Thurman's Journal: HOO HAH!

So, what's this all about?

First, I'm not really Uma Thurman. You already knew that.

Most of the time I use this account for posting messages that I think others will want to read. I am not a troll, just a guy who was tired of his other account.

But, sometimes I'll use this account to point out the lies of the far-right. Whenever I see someone spouting ignorance, I'll challenge them. My style is extremely harsh, because I'm emulating the icons of the far-right Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter. For years they have had a good laugh while they told their lies and slandered Liberals. These arch-conservatives forget that the embodiment of Liberalism is contained in the Constitution of the United States of America, and especially the Bill of Rights.

I'm giving them a good dose of their own medicine, and having a good laugh while I do it. My list of freaks is a sort of "opt-in" list for persistent "entertainment", so we'll see just how many of them are smart enough to opt-out.

When someone marks me as a friend, I mark them as a friend, unless they are repugnant racists or something. When someone marks me as a foe, they are "opting-in" for consistent monitoring and heckling of their ignorance.

I've always had good counter arguments, and when the Right is too pig-headed and uneducated to understand them, they fall apart. Their faces get all red and stuff.

-I hate that liberal is a dirty word.
-I hate that GW Bush got us into a useless war that we cannot reasonably withdraw from.
-I hate that some people want to force me to listen to them pray to their version of god
-I hate that the right wing attacked Bill Clinton for firing missles into Afghanistan, calling it "wag the dog".
-I hate that John Ashcroft is turning this nation into a police state.
-I hate that conservatives want to tell people it's not OK to love someone of the same sex.

You are completely wrong. The only people I'm getting after are those that tell lies because their target happens to be a buzzword on the conservative hate list.

Examples:

Right winger posts comment about the evil ACLU. I attack!

I've actaully tried to call his show. It's not very easy to get on. I've tried being honest about things. If you don't agree with him _and_ you are intelligent (I.E. totally destroy his argument with facts) then you WILL NOT GET ON. The only time any non-far-righter will get on is if they are stupid. There are plenty of these guys around. They are democrats and don't know why. I put them in the worthless category with the "I'm a republican and don't know why." OK, I admit it. I enjoy Rush's show quite a lot. I am NOT a fan though. My opinion of him as an entertainer is higher than you might suspect. My opinion of him as an intelligent person is as low as you might suspect. Never tried to get on his show though, thanks for your story.

Well there ya go. Listen to the people they let though and then you know how to get past the screeners to take a shot at Rush. Of course if you embarrass him and it's not a live show they'll just edit you out.

But why wasn't it? There was no follow-up, and in fact, it may have helped OBL set up for 9/11. Prior to that attack, the Taliban apparently was planning to evict Al Queda from Afghanistan, but the missiles hit, and suddenly "the enemy of my enemy is my friend."

Otherwise I pretty much agree with you, but don't assume the horrible offenses of the Right forgive everything of the Left/Center.

I know, and the style is intentional. I am sick of the right wing using those exact tactics to smear liberals unfairly. I am angry that liberal is a dirty word. Liberalism is what gave us our constitution and form of government.

"Liberal" = "Radical Progressive"
"God-fearing Republican" = "Fascist"
"Republican", "Democrat", "neocon" = "Centrist"
