Vista is really "pretty" and I'm sure a lot of women will love it. My wife won't let me downgrade her computer, and I basically told her that I would not be her tech support for Vista problems. Everytime I sit down at the d*mn computer, it takes me longer to do the things I do on my 2yr old HP Pavilion laptop with XP. I have bought several copies of XP on eBay so that I could have some backups. My daughter has a new HP laptop and when her hard drive (the infamous Seagate made in China) went south 1 year, 2 months and three days after purchase, I put in a new HD and put a copy of XP Pro on it. All the updates are done and she is happy. I hope to God that Microsoft listens to its customers on Vista and does away with some of the frills and goes back to the rock solid dependability of XP with its new operating system. If not, I predict that there will be quite a few XP bootlegs traded over the next few years on the torrent sites.
