Journal: Metamoderate based on the posts, not based on your own bias! 2

Journal by Teknogeek

I hate people sometimes.

While I was screwing around in metamod.pl, I ran across someone whose sig proclaimed that he always metamods negative moderations as "Unfair".

Hopefully, he was just trolling. HOPEFULLY.

But with his karma bonus, I question that. And it makes me wonder. The whole point of the karma system was to keep people who basically spam Goatse endlessly from gumming up the works. I've modded enough message boards to see it be attempted, and I'm proud to say that I never allowed it to.

Call it censorship if you want, I don't care. Maybe it is. But if so, censorship is a necessary evil...much like government. Necessary at low levels, poisonous at large ones.

And Dixie_Flatline is now on my Foes list.

Journal: I'm turning my brother into a geek.

Journal by Teknogeek

So I'm home for college in the summer...not really sure what's going on (though I have my computer with me, which is good), when I find a moderately-sized package waiting on the doorstep.

Adressed to my brother.

When I get it to him, I find out it's an AMD Athlon...and fan. Pretty big one, too.

I ask why, and he says, "Oh, I'm building my own computer."

And I thought I was the only real computer geek in my family.

Ah, well...still pretty cool.

Avoid strange women and temporary variables.
