Journal TechnoLust's Journal: Psycho ex-g/f is watching me! 9

My roommate, in addition to doing the DJ thing, is a bartender at a local resturant. Apparently you-know-who came in last night and was asking him all kinds of questions about me. She told him she had noticed that I had the new wheels, and wanted to know why I had changed my license plate. (It used to be a personalized plate with my fraternity nickname, but they screwed up some stuff when I registered my car, and when I fixed that, they couldn't transfer the plate over, and tried to charge me the $25 personalized plate fee again, so I told them to just give me a regular one. I'm going to get a personalized plate with something different on it when it's due again.

So she was telling him all these places she's seen me going, and all this, which is weird, because I haven't seen her vehicle since we stopped talking. Of course, I haven't been looking for it, because I'm not crazy. She was also telling my roommate about her new job (she's now a used car salesman, WAY TO USE THAT MBA! Assuming she actually finished.) and her new boyfriend. (I wonder if the married guy got tired of screwing her, or if his wife found out.)

My roommate told me he kept trying to walk away, partly because he was busy, partly because he knows she's crazy, but she kept asking him things. I guess she is realizing she screwed up, just like I told her in the last letter I ever sent her. Oh, well, her loss.

She's selling used cars? You'll never see her car then. You may want to see if your state uses some prefix or suffix to indicate dealer tags. In Maryland, I believe it is 1A. If you always see a '1A' tag (or your equivalent) then there is your answer.

If you feel like it, you could certainly approach her boss for abusing the privilege. Or just use it as evidence when you file for a restraining order. Which you really should do. Stalkers are dangerous, both to themselves and the stalkee. Don't say 'she couldn't do it'. You probably didn't think she could stalk you. Let's face it, she's fucked up, and you need to protect yourself.
    • Ours are bright red and say Dealer at the bottom. I have seen a few, but no more than the norm. Doesn't bother me. I told her she would regret it. She won't do anything stupid. I'm good friends with the person who manages the housing facility she lives in. (It is a low income housing project, pretty much the ghetto.) If she started acting all crazy, I could have her evicted. I wouldn't do that, because I'm not that type of guy, but she still thinks all guys are evil, so she doesn't know that. She's a talker, so I know enough dirt on her to bury her. No, she won't try anything. She may be a raging psychopath, but she isn't stupid. If she tried anything, it would mean admitting that I had an effect on her, and she'll save face above all costs.
      • For your sake, I hope you're right. But it's not too unusual that 'raging, not-stupid, psychopath' turns into 'raging, homicidal, psychopath' with the help of a beer, a line, or the wrong movie.

But, yeah, probably she'll get over it.
  • What was your personalized license plate? We can have personalized ones too in Luxembourg (costs about 150Euro instead of 25Euro for an unpersonalized one), but we have to stay within the limits of the usual plates, which means two letters followed by three numbers, or a plate with only number (up to five, I think). The grand duke (or his chauffeur) drives with license plate "1", way cool.
My personalized plate is "JW 256", guess where that comes from ;-)
  • to feel loved?

ok, maybe not in all cases.
