Safety Cap's Journal: God Hates America

Holy Crow! I stumbled on the Fred Phelps hate site and I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

From the FAQ (at another of his hate-sites):

Why do you preach hate?
Because the Bible preaches hate.

I've found that hate comes from being hurt---mostly emotionally---or from fear. Fred must surely find the world to be an awefully scary place. I can't imaging being so hateful to so many people for so long.

I know god personally. We went to school together. He's a nice chap, he'd never do any of the things this priest is talking about.

Besides you were with him at the time, right? I'll bet he "just got up to take a leak" and was in the can for like, an hour. And you don't think that's suspicious?

It's not God I have a problem with, it's his goddamned fan club. (To be fair, it's only the nuts I have a problem with.)

They're only a problem when God and Jesus Christ Superstar decide to go on a world tour. Then the most fanatical of his fans will go with him, but the problem is, that, unlike G&JS, they usually can't afford plane tickets. So they just walk (or run) from one concert site to another. Like locusts, destroying everything in their path.
