Journal SEWilco's Journal: Open Documents proposed for Minnesota 1

The Pioneer Press points out that the "Preservation of State Documents Act" which would require open formats for Minnesota state government documents has been introduced in both the state House and Senate. Both bills are in committee. The legislation has attracted virtually no public interest.

  • I just got an email from a coworker regarding an upcoming Twin Cities .net Users' Group. They're going to have a discussion regarding the Open Document Format proposal, and the leader of the discussion is opposed to it as it would "stifle innovation".
