I'd feel stupidly juvenile for laughing at that name but the sidebar ads that came up when I did a Google search suggest it's not just me...

According to that guide: "The Penduline Tit is not a tit at all, though it certainly looks like one." Instead, we must look to the Great Tit [birdguides.com], the Blue Tit [birdguides.com], and the Crested Tit [birdguides.com] ("... you should soon encounter this chirpy little tit, trilling noisily as it comes to inspect you at close quarters.") As if those weren't enough, there's even more on Wikipedia [wikipedia.org] such as the Stripe-Breasted Tit, Southern Black Tit, Japanese Tit, and Dusky Tit.

Yeah, I giggle at those, too. But "Penduline Tit" is just too much...
