Otter's Journal: Chief Rabbi of Israel endorses Firefox

So, the grandfather of a Firefox developer runs into "the head Rabbi of Israel" (apparently, Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi Yonah Metzger) and decides to engage in a little browser advocacy. Quoth the rabbi, "Firefox? Ah yes! The one that blocks all the schmutz." Discussed in English and, with more detail, in Hebrew.

I'm not quite sure what to make of the story -- the rabbi claims he doesn't remember it happening, but the story is consistent with his travel schedule. In any case, I briefly considered submitting the story here but decided it would generate far more ranting and raving than value...
