The European Commission appears to be quite specific and detailed in it's requests. It's encouraging that a body has enough resources to protect even slight issues regarding competition.

That said, "slight" might be worth millions to Google / its competitors, especially as smaller firms have complained as well as Microsoft.

The important part is that the information gets through.

Unfortunately spreading pro-freedom propaganda will get you sent to jail once you try to disseminate it further.

Revolution in China is inevitable (IMHO). Attempting to improve the current status technologically is a noble cause, by those who are free, for those who aren't.

Why is Slashdot STILL posting "articles" with 15 pages containing two or three sentences per page?

Even then, the link is to the last page. Here's a slightly better page.

Anyway, on-topic, do you really want to work for a company that requires you to know your legal status prior to a job interview? Discrimination is disgusting, and as much as it may hurt, you're better off being knocked back for the job than having it present 40 hours a week.

People need to feed their families, but degrading one's self respect by accepting work where it happens is only inviting more trouble.

UK's War-On-Terror^H*6Carbon Emission?

mattford63 writes "So, with the UK's capital starting to charge 4x4 drivers twenty-five whole sterling per day for the privilege of driving I began to wonder what other UK activities contribute heavily to the carbon foot-print of my fair island.

My question is what percentage of the UK's carbon foot-print has the "war on terror(tm)" contributed on a yearly basis? Surely missiles aren't fitted with catalytic convertors (if not why not?). And, assuming it's high, will the UK take this into account when it calculates whether or not it will meet it's emission targets?"

Are we not men?
