Charles Fort - the American writer and researcher for whom âoeForteanâ, as in the magazine âoeFortean Timesâ, is named - fought for years with academics about the boundaries of âoeacceptableâ science.
His point was, sometimes we see things so weird and unusual, that they donâ(TM)t fit our model of the World, and we must therefore go looking for new models. In his time, a famous example was reports of raining fish and frogs. Common consensus amongst scientists is that this was impossible and investigating it, was to get involved in ignorant old wivesâ(TM) tales. Until somebody who wasnâ(TM)t afraid went out and showed how a tornado passing over a pond or lake could hoover up inhabitants which would then have to come back down to earth eventually some miles awayâ¦
The material this paper refers to are the raining frogs and fishes of our time. No âoeacceptedâ scientific theory deals with all of the factors involved, yet opening up theories gets you labelled a crackpot.
Itâ(TM)s clear our current model of the World requires further enquiry. It always does. Just because we have as a species done lots of research and written a lot of papers on physics as we understand it, does not mean we know all of physics.
This could be new and unexplained natural phenomena, but the way observed items âoeinteractâ and âoerespondâ to other aircraft suggests something really odd is going on.
Itâ(TM)s good that somebody with authority and real responsibility is being a bit more open minded and prepared to offer up theories that fit, even if they donâ(TM)t meet our current model of how we fit into the Universe.
As an aside, I was a long time ET sceptic until I started really digging into the actual evidence of what happened at Roswell. I learned over 600 USAAF personnel serving there at that time have since confirmed that they went along with a cover-up because they were scared of the consequences to their pensions, their lives and their families that they were warned about. The recent official explanation of ICBM radar tech still doesnâ(TM)t fit all of the details of what they all agree happened. Some of these personnel made testimonies that were only unsealed after their deaths, just to be sure they would come to no harm. Itâ(TM)s quite a thing. âoeWitness to Roswellâ, by Carey and Schmitt is a compelling take on multiple factors, including the materials science research that came out of nowhere straight after the crash.
