And I just started posting my "Dear Michael... From Roland" trolls as an AC. (Check the MD5 hash as the ends MD5 ("rolly and mikey by grubby") = 769bfa901720ca09dd5fda25d1acdea2)
Yeah, I tack a hash on the end of a few of my trolls if I think I'll reuse them or they're funny. Gotta claim the funny ones;)
See this link [grub.net] for a small list that I *sometimes* update.
Now this is what trolling should be... small group of people that kinda collaborate. The populace isn't offended much because we do make normal posts... crap like that.
Yeah, exactly. If I troll as non-AC though it can be a pretty bad karma hit so I came up with the idea of a hash that was verifiable elsewhere Just In Case I thought a troll was rather clever... (check out the "Hayes has a new modem one", I love it.)
Thanks! Some of them I don't link on that page but sometimes I get one that has me laughing my butt off as I'm typing it. Those are what are mainly on that page.
First of all, he might be back - this could just be a SlashGlitch.
Secondly, when Cowboy Neil can make an embarassing story (the "magic battery enhancing sticker") just disappear, and indeed any other editor can do that, rather than being men and saying "Mea Culpa - I screwed up" - the absense of one troll is only a marginal improvement.
Third - Has anybody seen a Slashback recently? The one bit of (cough)Journalistic Integrity(cough) that they had, gone.
I haven't really had any trouble with Timmy. Mostly Sims for ultra-biased, misleading crapfests and CmdrTaco for his amazing ability to pick the most mundane, poorly written, content-lacking stories on earth and then make them ten times worse. Occasionally, Hemos falls into the latter category too.
Although it was kind of funny to watch Micheal and Pudge duke it out over Politics in the run-up to the 2004 prez election.
Perhaps I was hasty, but I went looking for it and could not find it directly - I had to search explicitly for stories posted by CN to find it.
Perhaps it was just the way the main page gets computed was causing the story to fall through the cracks - if so, then I retract my statements about CowboyNeil.
Specifically, did anyone see the page with Michael listed on it? I think that I've seen the page before, but I can't remember if Michael was on it or not.
Google had it. As of today at 1:56am, Michael was at 9932 stories, with the caption "Full plate and packing steel". The Google page is here [64.233.161.104], though that may get overwritten. Got it by searching on "timothy pudge hemos roblimo cowboyneal zonk jamie"; it was the second result. His user page [slashdot.org] doesn't show much; no comments since March and no JEs at all.
Go look at the games section. Wear sunglasses if necessary. Notice the "What We're Playing" section down the page on the right. It used to list Michael (Who seemed to like GNU/games). No Michael there either. Hurray!
