LittleLebowskiUrbanA's Journal: Michael and Speakeasy

For those just checking Slashdot, Michael decided to post a few snide comments about Speakeasy and his problems with that company.

I have a problem with that since Michael is at work when acting as an editor at Slashdot, this is his personal business, and he has a long history of making snide comments that don't belong on the front page and just plain old talking shit.

After I made a few choice comments about his lack of professionalism, I got modded down (no surprise, probably by Michael) and (surprise) people came out of the woodwork to hate on Michael.

I emailed Taco, Michael, and Speakeasy about this. I will keep you posted.

You can forget the editors doing anything about this.

Out of all of michael's idiotic transgressions, this probably ranks nowhere near the top.

He directly insults readers, abuses mod privileges, and writes misleading to outright false stories. This is pretty innocuous for him, given his history.

I still believe that michael has some compromising pictures of Taco, or holds the rest of the slashdot crew by the balls somehow, just like with the censorware site. How else can that tool still hold this job?

Mikey is an idiot, in the biblical sense of the world. I don't really have a vendetta against the guy but I deeply dispise how he wilfully and artlessly manipulates slashbots to attack Microsoft / hate RIAA/Sony etc. He is crass, you understand? Thanks for the advice! Between Michael and that jackass Troed, I'm pretty busy on /. You're dead right about the trolls--I still miss TrollHaxor. Check my latest journal entry and you will see Taco's response to my email. Still haven't heard back from Speakeasy.
