KoriaDesevis's Journal: Valentine's Day, huh?

So today is Valentine's Day. A day to consume more chocolate, send flowers to your sweetie (or receive them, if such is the case), and write gushy cards. What a pitiful waste of an otherwise nondescript day.

This day means just another workday for me, spending the hours sitting in my little cube, looking for information that relate to my projects and putting together a user's manual for a product we have produced. There will be no flowers, no chocolate, no cards, nothing like that. Instead, there will be flourescent lights, talks amongst the ranks about basketball (*shudder*), and perhaps a lunch outing with my best friend.

I'm actually not bitter. I do not mind being alone, I can be more productive and relaxed this way. Some people have asked me why I haven't settled in yet. It's not like I'm desperate or anything, I just haven't met "the one". That's fine with me. It worries me that others cannot seem to grasp that I'm content. Perhaps they have some insecurities in their own relationships?
