Many CEO's have liberal arts degrees and NOT business degrees.
Really? I could've swore most of the CEOs I've read of have a Business or Science degree. Nardelli, Skilling, Prince, O'Neal, Lay, Mozila, Zander...err...

Many CEO's that have yet to drive their company into the ground have liberal arts degrees and NOT business degrees.
There! Fixed it for you.

Submitted by
Tech.Luver
Tech.Luver writes "Today the rapid deployment of mobile TV services across Europe has taken a significant step forward as EU Member States endorsed the European Commission three pillar strategy presented in July: putting in place a joint approach to the licensing of mobile TV in order to accelerate the roll out of services and to encourage innovative business models; making available spectrum for these services, possibly in the UHF frequency band; and promoting the use of DVB-H as the mobile TV standard for Europe. 47-year-old Internet stalker causes suicide 1

Submitted by
Slartibartfast
Slartibartfast writes "Perhaps others had heard about this story, but I hadn't noticed it until it hit The Times today. A 47-year-old woman — pretending to be a teenage boy — played with the emotions of a neighboring teenage girl, eventually causing her to commit suicide. Her penalty? Nothing. I admit to being of two minds on this one: should someone be culpable for, by way of the written word, causing mental anguish leading to someone's death? The Free Speech part of me says no; the humane part of me says yes."

A First Look At Ubuntu 8.04 Alpha 1->

Submitted by
Michael
Michael writes "The first daily build for Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy Heron" is now available online. The first Alpha release is expected tomorrow, while at Phoronix we have taken a first look at this early development release. It incorporates a number of package updates since Ubuntu 7.10, while there is still much work left to be done before the Ubuntu 8.04 release in April.

Aside from these package updates and a few other changes, there isn't too much to get excited about with Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy Heron" Alpha 1. However, with quite a few interesting features on the Hardy Heron Roadmap, it will certainly be an interesting next few months. In addition to new Ubuntu theme, among the many planned features is an improved startup and shutdown experience, displayconfig-gtk improvements for multiple monitors, an improved installation process, and other enhancements across the board. This will also be the first LTS (Long Term Support) release since Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper Drake.

Google experimenting with user-modified searches->

carusoj writes "Google is experimenting with letting users add, move, and remove search results. You can promote the results you like, remove the results you don't, and add URLs that you think are more appropriate. The move raises lots of questions, including whether Google would use this information to influence its PageRank system."
