Journal InvaderSkooge's Journal: I perfer the term CONSPIRACY HYPOTHESIST 6
I don't like the term Conspiracy Theorist, I perfer Conspiracy Hypothesist, makes me seem like I have less claim to evidence.
The interesting thing is, I suggested a cover-up in jest, and it took the response of Iraq-hawks and Israel deifiers to really draw it out. It just cracks me up. Well, mostly in jest. Seriously, NO Israel is just a little screwed up, what the hell did they do to get that special privledge? They're protecting the privacy of Israelis better than me, how fucked up is that?
What I find great was the vehmence which I got attacked with, it was even suggested that I beleived that "getting rid of the Jews would bring world peace", which is absolutely wrong. I don't even hate Israel all that much, they aren't that much worse than Saddam (j/k).
Remember this, kiddies: A rabid Israel supporter can be a fun thing, if they lack just enough common sense. I bet a rabid Palestinian terrorist supporter would be fun too, but you don't see much of the people who argue that the Al'Aqsa Matyr's Brigade is doing good. Wonder why.
Methinks the invader doth protest too much... (Score:2)
I'd certainly invite readers of this journal to read the thread [slashdot.org] and judge his posts for themselves. The ones where he explains his theory that we should change our foreign policy not in order to do what is right, but in order to appease any who threaten us are particularly amusing. :-)

Keep in mind, judging what you think of my argument in the thread/judging what you think of me, is different from judging my comment.

As I said, people should read the thread and judge your position for themselves.
From the amount of time you spend justifying yourself, though, it doesn't look like you're too sure of that position, though. :-P
Exactly how is Israel a threat to peace? (Score:2)
I can only conclude that you believe that they are a threat to peace by merit of their existence, which leads me to the conclusion above. It appears to me that you're playing that most cowardly of games, that of making an assertion and then retreating into claims of satire when it doesn't stand up to reason.
This entire debate is as if a woman was raped and someone runs up to her still bleeding in the street and scolds her for wearing a short skirt.

Certainly they [Israel] are not conducting terrorist operations against their neighbors, or slaughtering their political opposition.
Comedy Genius. Simply brilliant. I must bow to your sarcastic wit there. That was sarcasm, right?

I am a Zionist in the sense that I support Israel's right to exist. The Jews deserve a homeland. So do the Palestinians, and it's called Jordan. If I had to reduce you to a stereotype, and I'm honestly trying not to do so because I hate it when people do it to me, I would say that you're the type of person that always roots for the underdog, right or wrong. I've followed the Israeli-Arab conflict for a long time, and I've concluded that anyone who sides against with the Palestinians is either not following it closely enough or has a horse in the race.
I will consider the possibility that I suffered from an insufficient supply of humor in reading your post, as well. It certainly wouldn't be the first time I was accused as such.
