fallen studios anounces Mercer 2.0

fallen studios, developer of success products such as Mercer 1.0 (Released July, 2004 by W.I.F.E) today proudly announced to a select audience that development has begun on the latest product, Mercer 2.0, codename "Othello Crimefighter".

The planning phase was completely skipped and the start of development came as a surprise as attempts were actively made to prevent Mercer 2.0 from developing at the moment. But much like Mercer Classic (Formerly Mercer 1.0), such attempts appear to be futile.

Mercer 2.0 is still in the early stages of development and features are still largely unknown. The estimated release date is April 11, 2006, but this may be revised during the development process. A full public announcement will be made at the end of the first stage of development as Mercer 2.0 moves toward the beta stage.

Mercer Classic will still be fully supported and available in limited quantities at select locations.

Heh, yeah, Ooops #2. We told my sister in law last week and she told me to quit knocking her sister up as she has stuff to do. I told her that I must be confused about where babies come from as we haven't really had time for any such activities for the past month. Again kids, birth control doesn't. We're 0 for 2 now and at best guess she's about 6 weeks pregnant at this point. While we were trying to not have any more kids for a while, now that it's a fact all we can do is hope that it goes well. So we haven't told the in-laws yet and we're holding off with telling coworkers and IRL friends for another month or two, just in case.

We started to brainstorm names a bit, I suggested Othello Crimefighter, Mercer 2.0, or Patrick McCrotch. These ideas were not received well by the publishing party.

Announcing Mercer 2.0!

  • Congrads! Now to speak with the other half about why I heard it here first ;)
  • Apparently it's time for us to talk the birds and the bees.

You see, the most effective form of birth control is an anti-aircraft gun to take down that sum'bitch of a stork when he shows his ugly ass in your neighborhood.

If you're an NRA member, then I recommend Stinger missiles. Some assembly required.

Cheers, and congratulations on missing the stork,

    Ethelred

  • Congratulations!!!!

    That's WONDERFUL.

In an uh-oh kind of way.

Seriously, if you have to have uh-ohs, i'm thrilled that it's that kind.

  • Works for a girl or a boy.
  • You know, oral sex is *great* birth control (or at least it worked in high school).

Congratulations, fallen. Life may not go according to plans, but this is really the best kind of surprise.

    ....Bethanie....
  • Um, what kind of birth control are you two using that's so ineffective? I've been using various types of birth control for 15 years, and no pregnancies as of date. You guys may want to look into other methods if what you've been using isn't working for you...

OK, I'll get off my soapbox now :-)

    • First, Nuvaring. [nuvaring.com] Second, VCF [cvs.com].

Neither one really leaves much room for mistakes. So uhm yeah, if those fail, I don't know what to try next. Abstinence?

      Hah! I kill me.

      • Damn...I was going to suggest the Nuvaring if it wasn't mentioned, but instead I'm going to start getting paranoid :-/
        • It seems to be an individual thing. One of my siblings was conceived in spite of an IUD. I got pregnant while on the pill without having missed a single one. OTOH, some women can go years without any protection and not conceive. Go figure, but if your method has worked so far, there's no need to worry much.

          Anyway, congrats on Mercer 2.0.
      • Don't forget condoms. I got pregnant with condoms too.
        • And of course, it wouldn't be a pregnancy without completely unsolicited advice from strangers. I hope I get to be among the first! (This time around, anyway.)

Now, for names for a girl I really like "Aroma" and "Castratia" -- pretty safe bet you won't have any trouble with the boys in adolescence! For boys, it's hard to go wrong with "Eugene" or "Percy."

          ....Bethanie....
          • Castratia will probably keep the boys away better than Felatia will... I already have a girl's name since I didn't get to use it last time around, and boy names are being hotly debated. It has to start with an M though, I like themes.
  • She's apparently vulnerable to a buffer-overflow attack.

Next time think about using a Trojan (covered) worm instead. :-D
