No, he talks about a polywell in the article, as thats what he wants to eventually fund and build. Its most definitely a Fusor. But what he built is a single grid fusor. You can tell by the electrode/plasma toward the bottom of the article. Trust me, I'm the Washington, DC fusioneer with a reactor 7 blocks from the whitehouse.

iPhone Hardware Unlock Achieved-> 1

Submitted by GamEmpire
GamEmpire writes "Geohot and the iPhone JTAG unlock team over on the iPhone JTAG blog have successfully unlocked the Apple iPhone. This means that iPhone owners are not locked into using AT&T any longer. Any SIM card from any GSM carrier is now useable in an unlocked iPhone. Though the hardware unlock is quite the endeavor (with the distinct possibility of "bricking" your phone), the fact that the iPhone has been unlocked is quite the accomplishment. The iPhone JTAG team will release the process for unlocking the phone in one week (August 28, 2007), with the possibility of just a piece of software to unlock the phone. Video of Geohot's unlocked iPhone can be seen on YouTube."

Submitted by Josh P.
Josh P. writes "The brand new archive for all data gathered from the Hubble Space Telescope has launched at the Space Telescope Science Institute website. The Hubble Legacy Archive (HLA) is designed to optimize science from the Hubble Space Telescope by providing online, enhanced Hubble products and advanced browsing capabilities. The HLA is a joint project of the Space Telescope Science Institute, the European Coordinating Facility, and the Canadian Astronomy Data Center.

Some of the primary enhancements include:
— Putting the data online for immediate access to the astronomy community as well as the public.
— Adding a footprint service to make it easier to browse and download images.
— Providing more extensive "composite images" (e.g., stacked, color, mosaics)."
