Journal GMontag's Journal: Vietnam: A Vision of Post-Colonial Success

The Leftist Fantasy of Vietnam

Several years ago I wrote the basics to this, but forgot where it was posted. I think it was on one of the HOPE mailing lists. I saw similar basic blurbs around that time, but I don't remember seeing them before I stated it. Tried a little Googling, but did not find anything.

If I were a "modern" reporter or editor, the story of post-USA involvement in Vietnam could be written like this.

Vietnam: A Vision of Post-Colonial Success

Immediately after the USA was driven from Vietnam there was an unprecedented explosion of fair resource distribution throughout the nation. Vietnam was never previously known as a recreational boating nation, like England or the Plantation areas of the Americas. Amazingly, almost as soon as "Saigon" was liberated, an explosion in recreational boating occurred! Common farmers became yachtsmen overnight! There had always been more than enough resources for everybody and this is just part of the proof that the elite classes were stealing the wealth at the expense of the workers.

The neighboring US puppet-states and the right-wing press, joined in an effort to discredit the success of the vision of the North and engaged in word games to taint the event. To this day the revisionist convince many that the recreational boaters were "fleeing" or some other nonsense. Who would flee from a tropical paradise? The Fascist nations even went to the extreme of blocking Vietnamese sail boaters from entering their ports, causing many to perish at sea and blaming it all on newly free government of Vietnam.

The USA had to be misrepresenting the number of military and secret police that Richard M. Nixon flooded the nation with for so many decades, because after they were driven from the nation the population dropped by millions. This was another factor in the new prosperity: there is more to go around for the People, when there is the right number of people. Also, when people stop hoarding, another famous Capitalistic tactic, then everybody has enough.

Ending the wage-slavery of the West was another key factor in the explosion of prosperity that resulted after the ouster of the Nixonians. Once all of the property was owned by all of the people, a level of prosperity never known before to the people of Vietnam flourished.

If Vietnam had not the courage to repel the USA they may have suffered a fate worse than South Korea, Thailand or Singapore.

I am sure some revisionist will read this and play word-games replete with misspellings, but facts are facts and the results speak for themselves.
