Journal FidelCatsro's Journal: What makes an intresting JE? 8

That is the question . Now I know a large Friend/fan list helps (and sometimes a large enemies list) , considering the amount of crap i spout and the amount of comments I get (rumtiti dum) .
Though what Makes a truly great JE ,one that you would want to comment on .. or even just read?

I know a fair few of my friends on here who write/wrote Great JEs that I often don't comment on and that get few comments (P.K.Dickhead and the now departed Jeremiah-C for example ), Simply because there was nothing to add , though I do like to chime in my support of them .

but what starts a great JE conversation?? Without resorting to flame-bait or hot topics . Hell I could write a JE and get 10000000 comments with some cheap tactics (not that I would want to , I try to reply to nearly all comments on My JEs )

We shall see if this JE answers it's own question .
So far the answer is no :D

  • I completely agree about the journal entry that is too good to comment on. I almost wish there was a little "kick-ass entry" box I could check after reading a really good entry, so even if I have nothing to say, the author would know I thought it was interesting.
  • This is a matter of technic. I am deliberately writing a JE as someone is eager to make a comment. My JE is far from perfection so you want to make a comment. I know.

When it comes to writing JEs, lack of perfection is a key.

  • I would post a J.E. on the subject. But it probably wouldn't be an interesting one. So, here goes.

If you post more than three times a day, for more than three days straight, I may start skipping entries. Unless they are usually very short. (Last week, I skipped several of PKD's because there were many long re-posts of someone elses story).

If your journal entry says the same thing as all your previous ones, or simply repeats something someone else said more than two or three times in a row, I may start

The trouble with doing something right the first time is that nobody appreciates how difficult it was.
