Submitted by

EuropeanSwallow writes "A supervisor of rescue operations of the international airport of Porto, Portugal, was arrested and charged with breaching safety rules of access to restricted airport areas and disobeying the authority for not allowing his sandwich and fruit to be x-rayed (news in portuguese, translated).

According to his union representative, he had to take the food to his workplace for medical reasons and did not object to pass himself through the machine, but refused to pass his food because "it could be perfectly inspected visually"."
