Journal Ethelred Unraed's Journal: Qt4: The most important feature 13
In case you haven't heard, Qt version 4 has been released by Trolltech. You may have heard about the various new features in this version, along with the new free-as-in-beer version for Windows, but none of that is important.
What is important is that I did nearly all the icons for the Qt tools. Therefore, this version is immensely superior to any other software that has ever existed. Nay, now you need no other software than Qt4, as you sit in front of the monitor slack-jawed in awe at the incredible beauty of those icons.
Well, all right, you need some OS to run Qt on. But other than that, no other software is needed for you to live happily.
You may think I exaggerate. Perish the thought, ye of little faith!

Yes, with some qualification. I did most of the ones that are in the default version, in many cases in various iterations and improved versions. However, the versions of Qtopia that are actually installed on (for example) Sharp's devices usually have icons done by someone else. The first Zaurus models had my icons (or at least the ones I had done at the time); more recent ones have (rather fugly, even if I am a bit biased) icons done by Sharp.

Thanks! FWIW my icons tend to look a bit old-school because I try to keep them high-contrast just for people like yourself, and try to make them as crisp as possible (i.e. mostly perpendicular and/or straight lines, less curves, harder edges). I used to have really heavy edges (see Aethera [thekompany.com] from theKompany.com in earlier releases, or see the Dillo [dillo.org] browser's default ico
