Same as above. Before that it was The Decline and Fall of Practically Everybody by Will Cuppy, a gift from subgeek and bride when they were here (only now got around to reading and finishing it).

What are you currently reading?

Just started the Lemony Snicket books, a gift from BoE for my birthday (along with Roverandom from J.R.R. Tolkien and a Sigur Rós CD).

Five books you would take to a deserted island.

The unabridged Encyclopaedia Britannica. (Hey, I used to read encyclopedias as a kid for fun. But I AM NOT A GEEK.) And yes, it's one book, just in many volumes. ;-)

Next, I'd take the KJV Bible (with Apocrypha). Yes, really. (I've always enjoyed the language of the KJV the most. What can I say?)

Next, I'd take the complete works of William Shakespeare.

Next, I'd take HHGTTG. I'll need a laugh if I'm stuck on an island...

Lastly, I'd take Lord of the Rings in a single-book edition. I've read it so many times, can't hurt to read it a few more times, hey?
