I agree. I'm not that interested in playing versus mode and survival mode will require playing with friends. Could you imagine how futile it would be playing on a pub? I bought L4D when it first came out for $50, while I have played it over and over I can't help wish they would've provided more than 4 hours of game play. My friends and I are able to play through each campaign on expert in rougly an hour. I'm ready for a few new campaigns, not new game play modes. I have a feeling that this new survival mode will turn out to be just like arena mode, popular at first but then it fades away.

Battlestar Galactica Hosted At the UN 252

TheDopp writes "The United Nations hosted the cast and crew of Battlestar Galactica Tuesday evening in New York. Clips of the show were shown as discussion points during the event, touching on the morality of Suicide Bombers in war, Abortion and the use of torture on enemies of the state. At one point during the event an attendee mentions 'the "Old Man" launched into a passionate speech about casting off the idea of race as a cultural determinant, and said we were one race, the human race. His voice echoed throughout the chamber growing louder until — I kid you not — he was yelling, "So Say We All," and the crowd answered right back. Hell, even I yelled it, I was in the fraking United Nations with Adama, the gods themselves could not have stopped this moment.' The full video of the event is located on the UN website."

Dissent is Patriotism writes "Today I, Michael Williams, received a letter from the IRS that my 2007 tax returns are being audited. Less than one month after launching is a site that encourages people to stamp, with the words "Tax Cheat", any bills signed by Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner.

There's a list of "proposed changes" they want to make to my 2007 return that would require me to pay almost $14,000 in taxes, penalties, and interest. All the "discrepancies" they list are bogus and I have documentation to prove it. I keep meticulous records and always pay every cent I owe to Uncle Sam. We're going to talk to a lawyer ASAP.

There is no doubt in my mind that my family is being politically persecuted for making a mockery of our new Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner and the Obama administration.

Honestly, we're scared. We haven't done anything wrong (and I've got the documents to prove it in storage) but now the IRS is coming after us and they can destroy our lives with a flick of their pen. I don't want to sound like a coward, but I'm so scared I'm literally shaking. We've got a seven-week-old daughter.

I suppose it's a sort of honor to be persecuted like this. I'd really appreciate it if people would blog about this and link to this post. (And a prayer wouldn't hurt.)"

People say this is expensive.

The first PC I built 10 years ago cost me ~$1500 for the case, 200 watt PSU, 500Mhz P3, asus motherboard, 512MB of ram and a 8MB video card. I could build a new I7 system for about $900 or $1200 after throwing in a NVidia 285 GTX.
