More on "History of the modern wars in Iraq":
"Throughout the course of the Bush[I, GHB] Administration, U.S. and foreign firms were granted export licenses to ship US technology directly to Iraqi weapons facilities despite ample evidence showing that these factories were producing weapons." Henry Gonzalez 1992
If you look back at the data from that period you will find that many of the things the press and Whitehouse have said is pure fiction. The reality was 5 Billion in soft loans and supplies. Some 1.3 billion of that was still in play AFTER GulfWar I. Al Gore in 1992 called this "...bigger than Watergate ever was,". He (Gore) and Dickbrain ehem...Clinton then went on to absolve the Bushes etal. and stated that no US agencies or officials illegally armed Iraq. Which by that point was true as they(Clinton, Gore and StateDept) rewrote the rules to make the deals all "clean" afterwards.

Quill and Ink Arianna Huffington is huddled looking quite scared behind a podium. A large native with "reed and bead" coat and stylish bulrush hat. In his hand he has several free coupons for his tribes casino and is yelling "What part of '100% tax bracket' don't you get!". Caption above with line "Arianna gets a history lesson."
