Submission + - First Vista Virus?

gubby writes: "For those of you feeling adventurous, I happened upon a javascript virus at today which bypasses IE7 safegaurds, Windows OneCare and erases the MBR as far as I can tell. Symantec doesn't have it listed yet and it appears to work just as well with XP. Any further details are appreciated as I am at work and cannot pursue this right now."

Submission + - Microsoft loses another fan... to Apple!

Peelo60 writes: "Scot Finnie from ComputerWorld wrote an article, comparing Windows and Mac OSX. From the Article: Bye-bye Windows! My three-month Macintosh trial has ended, but my permanent gig with the Mac is just getting started. Apple's MacBook Pro and Mac OS X are now my computer and operating system of choice. If you give the Mac three months, as I did, you won't go back either. The hardest part is paying for it — everything after that gets easier and easier. Perhaps fittingly, it took me the full three-month trial period to pay off my expensive MacBook Pro. But the darn thing is worth every penny. After hundreds of hours testing Windows Vista during its extensive beta cycle, I found myself wondering last year if it would turn out to be the best operating system choice for most people. That's when I decided to give Mac OS X a fair shake. In early November, I began a total-immersion trial of the Macintosh. See full article here: mand=viewArticleBasic&articleId=9010759"

Submission + - Novell humor: Linux video shot at "Get a Mac&#

coondoggie writes: "This is great. Novell takes on the Get a Mac ads with a Linux video ad of its own. Here you'll see the usual suspects, PC and Mac kind of trading insults but they are interrupted by a pretty woman — Linux is her name and their destruction is her game. Or something like that. In addition here's a bonus Get a Mac ad that's a pretty funny shot at Microsoft's Vista security. 3"
