7 digits writes "The Indian Vishy Anand, retained his world chess champion title against the Russian Vladimir Kramnik, winning the 12 games match with the very comfortable margin 6.5 points to 4.5, making him the undisputed champion. Contrary to what the bbc article states, Anand was not the runner up last year, as he got the title by winning the World Championship 2007 Mexico tournament
That is very good news for all chess fans everywhere, as it means that the separation created by Kasparov in 1993 is now history. Icing on the cake, the new champion plays totally non-boring chess!"
