Submission + - HP TouchPad Go: $99? (ibtimes.com)

redletterdave writes: "The HP Touchpad Go, which is a smaller version of the company's signature TouchPad, may go on sale for $99 like its predecessor. The tablet features a 1023 x 768 resolution display, runs on webOS, and alsohas a removable cover with soft-touch coating to minimize fingerprints on the 7-inch screen. HP's new tablet also comes with a removable battery, 32GB of storage, a 3G radio, a five-megapixel camera and LED flash.HP designed the TouchPad Go around the same time as the larger model, but it failed to reach production stages when the company decided to kill off all devices running on the doomed webOS. If the tablet indeed sells for $99, it would be the cheapest tablet in the world besides the Aakash tablet, which was released by the Indian government for $35."

Submission + - Recent Discovery Shows Oldest Depiction of Tower o (discovery.com)

smitty777 writes: The recent discovery of the Tower of Babel stele by a team of scholars shows what might be the earliest depiction of the ancient Tower of Babel. The stele belongs to Martin Schøyen, who also owns a large number of pictographic and cuneiform tablets, some of the earliest known written documents. The tablet also contains a depiction of King Nebuchadnezzar II, a time when Babylon was a cultural leader in astronomy, mathematics, literature and medicine. It's also interesting to note the somewhat recent Slashdot article linking the common ancestry of languages to this area.

Just to put it into context, The Fed can only issue money based on the level of Government bonds it holds. Government bonds are backed by tax earnings. So essentially the US Taxpayers were forced to become indebted to the Fed for all of the secret Trillions given to the banks.

When the so-called experts can do something simple - like be able to predict the weather - I might consider taking a small sip of the cool aid.
Honestly, do you want to give the green light to scientists to do experiments with our one and only fragile global climatic system?
This whole latest propaganda drive around about the time that the climate convention is being held in Durban has only one purpose - to speed up the implementation of the global carbon tax/credit scam.

PS: Why do you think that humans are not part of nature?

Climate change has never been reversible, and never will be. Period. All of the crud around the issue is simply because we don't want it to happen - and it is going to happen regardless of any futile (and probably horrendously expensive) measures we may take. The sooner we face the fact, the sooner we will be able to course correct and plan accordingly.
I suspect however that there is much fleecing to be done before the zeigeist becomes conscious of this fact.
