...assuming it's grass fed and not factory produced, which is also far less cruel to the animals and doesn't require high doses of antibiotics. Factory farming requires more plant input per calorie of output than if people simply ate the plants, resulting in more deaths from farming alone. Grazing requires quite a bit of land per calorie of output, and IIRC we'd have to cut down lots of rain forests to feed all 7 billion people that way.

It's not "UNREGULATED", it's unlicensed. Similar to CB radio, you don't need a license to operate a device transmitting on this band. There are explicit regulations Title 47 CFR Part 15. 15.5 part C specifically says that you're not allowed to cause harmful interference. http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/C...

If it were unregulated, it would be perfectly legal for me to set up a 100MW transmitter adjacent to your university broadcasting noise on the wifi band.

What was the plan for fixing the Mac from the 80s if it broke? I wouldn't want to risk a multi-million dollar operation on being able to find an old mac for sale on ebay. You'd have to really hope that the installer floppies were sufficiently backed up and that you could find a floppy drive from that era that didn't have too much dust in it to function.

The fully automatic modes have to be much better than humans before people will accept them. If you ride in the front train of a Chicago CTA train, you can hear the overspeed warning beeping from the operator cabin about every 10 seconds. If the operator ignores it, the train will automatically shut down to prevent the train from derailing.
