You don't have to tell me! Because of GTA I can kill hookers almost like a professional!
But where's the money? I've tried it a few times, but there's never any money on the ground afterwards. I mean what's the point.
Go grok the Butterfly Effect and you'll see how a probabilistic microscopic universe means that the macroscopic universe is also probabilistic.
Actually, I would argue the example of Ashton Kutcher making a bad movie as an example of the determinism of the universe.
re: comment: if manned orbital launch capacity were as easy as buying a car, then I wouldn't have made the comment in the first place.
Buying manned orbital launch is as easy as buying a car...in 1907.
The reality is that spreading the costs over the population makes sense, and this Libertarian nonsense is worthless garabage.[sic]
No the reality is that "this Libertarian nonsense" just punishes morons pretty harshly. The system as it is spread the costs over the population of people who had foresight enough to pay the fee. It's all about being responsible for your actions and inactions.
Like rain on your wedding day?
Oh God. Not again!
Cochlear implants and sub-lingual vocalizing. Spectacle HUDs.(or implanted).
I don't want to listen to a voice mail much less some conversation in my head. It's much faster for me to just read a text. Auditory comm. has a symetric encoding/decoding time burden. Whereas text shifts the time burden to the encode side. Listening to what someone says has a much higher mental bandwidth requirement (at least for me) than reading as well.
If the world economy doesn't collapse completely, something will replace texting as we know it. In ten years, the little universal gesture for texting (holding an imaginary smartphone and twiddling the thumbs) will not be recognizable by the average teenager.
I'd disagree almost completely. Texting will remain common until there's some sort of brain-machine interface, and there will still be folks like myself who don't want their stream of consciousness going out to all the world. I'd probably go so far as to say in 10 years it'll be more common with the increase of hearing loss due to the mp3 players in the ears 24/7.
Ah the irony to be had by swapping two paragraphs around. The right wingnut that has the problem (criminals) and expects someone (the government) to do something about it. Just the same as the liberal in fact. The only difference is what the government should do about it, not whether they should do something about it.
Well in this case, the government demanded a monopoly on doing something about it, so the only thing either side can do is demand that the government do something about it. I suspect there's plenty of folks (probably more right wing folk than left) who'd be perfectly willing to "do something" about the criminals, if they were allowed to do so.
it's just another troll that wants to blame Obama for everything, even the BP gulf mess and probably even lag when playing WoW.
Well my lag has increased since he took office. If he's not responsible, why won't he just come out and deny it? I'm not saying he did it, but I'd like for him to just shut down any suspicion.
Cooking without a microwave? This is madness!
No. This. Is. Slashdot!
Nah, it's shrinking and wrinkling 'cause it's gettin' old. Like your mom.
Hey! I was with his mom the other day, and she is most definitely not wrinkling (at least where it counts). She also had quite a lot of pent up...uh...energy.
...as silly as rebuilding your basement into the Emperor's Throne Room?
I find your lack of faith disturbing.
As a fairly avid gamer who has played well over 2000 games of dota (TDA gamecount is in the 1200s), and someone who plays dota as his main game, let me be the first to say: DotA is NOT a good game to get in to. While I love it and think its a terrific game, it is extraordinarily difficult to get into. There are over 90 heroes, each of whom possess 4 skills. There are also probably 60 something (guessing off the top of my head) items. In order to be able to play and enjoy the game, you need to know 1) skills for every hero, and 2) item builds for the heroes you play.
Well since it's pretty obvious you don't know anything and you're just a casual player, STFU N00B!!
Strictly speaking, every computer in the real world is a finite state machine that's complex enough to simulate a universal Turing machine. It's a subtle difference that really only matters if you're considering the math behind it
Oh Snap!!
