Which leads to an obvious question: Isn't the U.S. capable of producing its own anesthetics? At least the ones used for executions which should no longer be covered by patents?

I know, this is so stupid. It's easy to kill with good 'ol 1940's technology. Chloroform, Ether, etc.. They had to be careful or they could kill the patient. So easy I could do it. Face mask, pour the ether over it... Nighty-night! Dozens of off the shelf ways they could use.

Could go back 100 years - Get a rope! Hang 'em. Hang 'em high!

Almost all murders happen either in affect, or in a situation where the perpetrator thinks he can get away with it.

True. Understand that criminals think they can always get away with it. Doesn't seem to matter if they've been caught a couple of dozen times doing exactly the same thing. Even really dumb things like writing bad checks. They get out and - write another bad check! Even though in one case I observed the judge said she'd get a 10 year sentence. Back before the judge - 10 year sentence. I should check up on her. She should be out by now, probably already back in again.

In either case, having the death penalty will have no effect on whether a murder will happen or not.

This is the key thing and is fought over a lot. It does have an effect and it's clearly demonstrable. There are places like Baltimore County - has DP and Baltimore City - no DP. Literally same people, just on different sides of a political line. They know that line and it's like magic. But don't take my word for it, look it up. From murder to other crimes. If you do, you'll never make that statement again because you'll know it's wrong.

IMHO, I think the executions should be public. No nitrogen, go for a hanging. This drives the point home for those of us that are really slow.

Need to also fix the justice system. Get people to understand what jury nullification is (bad law) and just because someone is brought before them, that doesn't mean they're guilty. They need to do their job.

He does have one thing going for him. He did violate the prohibited area around the Capital, no two ways about that. He didn't violate the other Washington area Special Flight Rules Area. "Hey numb nuts - watch the road!" Stop by the corner mart to pick up a few brewskies - "Hey buster, setting up to drink again? You're a no good jerk." And so on.

No, not my mother in law. She was never like that.

Not so fast. They're are a LOT of books out there that document how to do that stuff. My own private library, I have everything from US Navy how to forge books to how to do just about everything else as it was done 100 years ago. Look at Lindsey publishing. These same books were found in Iraq when it fell. They were doing it. Mankind will recover. If those in power will let it.

Found out Lindsey is no more. Check out here - http://www.youroldtimebookstor...

Sorry, don't mean to pick on you per se - I have to laugh hard when I see people make such funny statements as we can distribute wealth better. This usually means steal from people who know how to handle money to give to those that have amply demonstrated that they cannot handle money. Somehow you think this is right and won't result in the collapse of civilization.

Want to distribute wealth better? Teach kids how finance works in grade school. How to apply mathematics to common problems, such as how much seed to buy for your lawn. Hell, how big is their lawn! Most people, even college graduates can't even tell me how to figure that out even if their life depended on it. You know, simple length X width in feet. Middle/Junior high stuff. Never mind how to do a budget.

Guy calls up, wanna alarm system? Protect your family? Only $60/month or just $2 a day. Isn't your family worth it? Someone I know signed up for that. I said, do you realize that's $720/year? More than your oil fuel bill for their house? No idea. They were shocked. That's why they're in a trailer and probably always will be until they understand finance.

Before that example, someone else - cell phone bundle offer. Before that another person with "low down payment and low installments", yea, installments for 5 years for something they can't use. On and on, I could give examples for a long time. Some heart wrenching.

Solution is not to penalize the so called rich. It's not dividing us by race, gender, ethnicity or whatever else you can think of. It's by building us all up. Get rid of this crap called Common Core and new math. New math that takes about 4 times more time to do. Trying to make us all equally stupid.

Medicine by google? Glad I'm not your kid. Just a thought, you might want to get someone a bit more familiar with their profession. I say this because your attitude seems to be that he does this all the time. Not a good sign. I've seen docs for about 50 years. From old docs with a background at a real Army MASH to guys that set up web sites and handicap race horses on the side. The worst ones were the ones that consulted google for help. Two to be exact.
