People who undermine big banks end up dead. Abraham Lincoln was assassinated -- he introduced the Greenback (debt free currency). Andrew Jackson, who was also opposed to a national bank (i.e. like what we have now -- the Federal Reserve Bank), was almost assassinated but both of Richard Lawrence's pistols misfired.

I admire Julian Assange for courageously proclaiming the truth despite putting himself at great risk...

Failed MMO APB To Be Resurrected As Free-To-Play Game 90

Two months ago, we discussed news that Realtime Worlds' action MMO APB closed its doors only a few months after launch, when it became clear that player interest and subscriber numbers couldn't begin to recoup the massive development cost. A few days ago, a company called Reloaded Productions, owned by free-to-play publisher GamersFirst, acquired all the rights and assets to APB. The company plans to relaunch the game as APB: Reloaded in the first half of 2011, abandoning its unusual business model in favor of free-to-play accounts supplemented by microtransactions and premium services.

Most bikes don't have batteries to power the GPS receiver+transmitter. I doubt they could hide an antenna on your bicycle where you wouldn't see it.

Oh yeah, don't use a cell phone that is registered in your name. You can also freeload off open wireless networks and use a VoIP app for your voice calls.

I wonder how long it will be before U.S. Citizens are all required to get RFID tags inserted into their bodies. That will prolly happen after terrorists successfully detonate a nuke inside a major U.S. city.

If all ISPs are required to obey the same law, then no single ISP has to worry about losing customers. This is because customers won't have any other ISP they could run to that wouldn't also have a financial incentive to report them to the MPAA/RIAA. So basically UK people are screwed unless they setup their own wireless or laser link that transmits stuff directly to France/Ireland/other country within range (Sealand?) that isn't bound by UK law.

This is bad because ISPs now have an incentive reveal your identity to the mega corporations who will sue you. If all ISPs in the UK are required to do this, then ISP won't need to worry about losing customers by revealing their customer names. Here's how it will work:

1) MPAA pays ISP $120 to get your name from your IP address. I don't know why people still think that the ISP account holder is necessarily the person who is sharing copyrighted material.
2) ISP profits!
3) MPAA sues you for $150000, but settles for $3000.
4) MPAA profits! ($3000 - $120 - $0.5 (stamp)) = $2879.50

YOU LOSE $3000, lot of sleep, and get stressed because you feel so powerless to stop those parasites.

I can see back at least 2 years using Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. At the end of the year I just download everything in CSV format for my taxes. The last time I did it, it was kind of hard for me to find the CSV option on the website but I found it. I think it was called "Excel" format on the site, but it was actually CSV.

Girls Bugged Teachers' Staff Room 227

A pair of enterprising Swedish schoolgirls ended up in court after they were caught bugging their teachers break room. The duo hoped they would hear discussions about upcoming tests and school work, allowing them to get better grades. It worked until one of them decided to brag about it on Facebook, and the authorities were called in. The girls were charged with trespassing and fined 2,000 kronor ($270) each in Stockholm District Court.
