But the internet told me they were! I keed, I keed. Im going to take off my tin foil hat and retreat from posting for a bit. I think the new diet and breakup has made me a little argumentative lately.
This whole thread about the PC term is ridiculous but i concede. You were at least able to admit that you cant run pc software on other platforms only with emulators and not natively so I guess thats a bit of a win.
I don't understand the need to defend PC as personal computer(which you're right, it does) when that last 30 years has shown it to mean windows/x86 compatible.
Yes, we all understand PC means personal computer which every computer is that someone owns.
If you try and take software labeled as PC compatible and load it onto a non-windows machine, what happens?
Just like it used to be IBM\PC compatible. Its a term thats developed over the years to mean x86 architecture/windows based machines since Macs werent. It was easier to tell what was compatible without having to know specifics. It will in the for-seeable future still refer to Windows machines even tho Macs are on x86 architecture now.
At this point, i think they are just trolling. Im sorry for responding to an AC, should have known...
Completely different. Those services are offered to me and they have direct access to them. I can chose not to use them if I want. Also, Google doesn't have access to Amazon, Amazon doesn't have access to google, att doesn't have access to google, etc. the government on the other hand has access to all.
If the government were to offer Internet, television home, mail service for free, then it would be acceptable for them to have access. They don't, so it's not acceptable for them to be able to just scrape everything anytime they want.
Why? He showed you what the American government was doing to its citizens. He should be commended for exposing these things and the ones perpetrating them should be punished.
If your neighbor was secretly recording all your calls and reading your mail, you'd have a shit-fit! If the government does it, it's just SOP?
Ditto. I know I dont possess all the knowledge of the patent system but I have a strong feeling that one of the key pieces to patent something is to have a working prototype. I guess its not a requirement but it should be!
Good points and important to the discussion at hand. I think I was a little hasty in my comment to say that everyone should be able to vote everywhere. To allow that to happen, there would need to be some major changes to the current voting structure and quite honestly, I dont think we will see that any time soon, or if its even feasible.
Funny thing, is actually am. Yes, you are correect about what they include on the ballot. I do not think that someone from out of state should have a vote on those issues if they havent taken/dont have time to get an in state license. I do believe there should be different ballots for federal and state. I dont have any experience with absentee ballots but saying that you cant vote for the president because you arent in your district on that particular Tuesday is a little backwards.
Agreed! Make lobbying illegal again and see how things change.
Honest question. Do you think the majority of the voters are informed or just going with what they feel is the correct vote?
If thats the case, then let it happen. If its really a problem for democrats then the polls with show it. I also think voting should be allowed with ANY form of ID, from ANY state, IN ANY state.
Do you consider a vehicle that runs 24hrs a day all week to be a safe car to ride in?
