I would be all for flying cars (as I have my pilot license). But consider a few things: most people don't care about how they drive today. Pilots have to be conscious of other traffic, weather and the like. Would you need IFR rating to use flying cars? I wouldn't want to have it sitting at home when the crosswind component is reached and I can't fly it. Landing could be interesting as well. It is busy most weekends when more people are in the air now. Can you imagine trying to sequence a landing at (gasp) Wal-Mart during Christmas shopping season? Oh, and no ATC either.
ATC: "Traffic at your one o'clock, type Flying Car at 3000 feet and driving erratically"
Pilot: "I have the traffic and steering clear of them..."

The FCC's rush to takeover the Internet is just the latest example of the need for fundamental reform to protect consumers.

I think the mentality of most home users are that they want Apple to tell them what apps can run on their device(s). Let's hope the power users talk some sense into Apple. I for one don't like the idea of only being able to consume apps that are published via the App Store...

An anonymous reader writes: Heard on the radio: The first guy to get caught in Montreal with a camera in a theater, he was filming "Dan in Real Life.". About fifteen potential pirates where stopped recently upon entry, but this time they decided to let him thru to cought him in the act. His girlfriend was transporting the equipment, so he spilled the beans to avoid accusation against her. He filmed about 25 movies in the last 15 months, 3 on that day alone. He said he was paid around 1500$ for each movie.
