God help you if you are using JS on the back end. It's bad enough on the front end.
But I do love jQuery.

If it's slowing down after a couple of weeks, you're doing something wrong.
And if you are in pain, you might give $100 to someone to pray for you. I mean, at that point, what do you have to lose? $100? So what, when you are in 24x7 pain?
Ok, I don't believe in homeopathy, but I suspect the market is people with ongoing medical problems where they've been thru conventional medicine, the doctors haven't helped and have given up. If that happened to you, YOU would be willing to try homeopathy and pretty much anything else that might work, because you don't have an alternative.
Yeah, where's Neville Chamberlain when you really need him?
You need to go up the food chain. "Anything a person says should considered a lie until proven true. It's in their job description."
Do you really think the upstart will have a man-rated launcher in less than 2 years???? Sending an unmanned cargo capsule is way different. At this point I don't think NASA has a choice other than buying seats on Soyuz in 2017.
And there is the problem... it goes back to the use of the word "free" for "freedom" instead of cost. If someone walks into a store and picks up an item labelled "free" they expect that the COST of that item is $0, not that it may cost $20 but they then have absolute rights to inspect / hack it. If you walk up to someone and say "I write free software" they would assume you give it away. For free. Not that it's open source.
Yes. God yes. It's a disaster. Sometimes waiting to happen, sometimes unfolding right in front of your eyes. Thank you for your comment.
I hope you can get more for your kidney that the $10 or so a Steam sale game will cost you. I also hope game makers continue to be paid so there will continue to be games.
Yes, sure, please describe how you plan to dig on a planet with sweet fuck all on it? I think you space prophets don't have the imagination it takes to envision the complete and utter lack of everything when you're dreaming about your Mars condos...
Wish I had mod points to mod this parent up. When people think about colonizing Mars, they picture some romantic red desert with cool domed habitats. Really, what you should picture is the absolute harshest environment you can imagine, and then multiple by 10. You are talking about a planet where the atmosphere is close to vacuum, bathed in radiation, with poisonous soil, with no support and no chance of rescue. If anything breaks, you better be able to fix it on the spot. It would be FAR easier to take the most inhospitable spot on earth and colonize it.
I'm all for space exploration, but let's keep our heads on here.
You mean since the USA landed rovers on Mars, orbited Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury, Venus, sent out two interstellar probes, has a probe about to fly by Pluto... that USA?
It's probably worse than just installing a new corrupt admin... it's probably putting in more of Putin's buddies into power. In fact, it's probably coming out now not because the government is suddenly appalled by corruption, but as a convenient excuse for Putin to reward some friends.
Obviously you haven't seen much.
In almost thirty years as a professional, I can say I have *NEVER* never never ever being to a productive meeting. A meeting that soothed some insecurity by a boss or client? Sure. A meeting where real decisions where taken after meaningful conversation and discussion? Nope.
I bet most of your meetings have been of the scheduled kind. Those meetings, including the "daily standup", take on a life of their own and are very rarely productive. On the other hand, meetings that are organized for a specific goal can be productive if everyone is able to contribute and buy into the result.
It's a naive, domestic operating system without any breeding, but I think you'll be amused by its presumption.
