This is an community release with comprehensive support from regional and national projects in Germany, Spain, France, Greece and Norway. The Skolelinux project is now a part of Debian under the name Debian-Edu. Several other projects have made additional functionality to Skolelinux tailored for national needs. Skolelinux now supports more than 50 countries. Version 3.0 is based on Debian 4.0 "Etch" and therefore compatible to LSB 3.1, using kernel 2.6.18 and KDE 3.5.5. Submission + - Dutch TV program claims Xbox 360 scratches discs

leomekenkamp writes: According to the Dutch TV consumer program 'Kassa' (cash register) Microsofts Xbox scratches discs. Microsoft claims the problem is caused by the customers themselves, because they do not put the gamecomputer on a stable place. The way MSFT handles these complains differs: some complainer get a new Xbox, others are told that 'it is not Microsoft's policy to have the Xbox make scratches'.

Customers will be able to host SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 from Novell as a virtualized guest on an upcoming service pack of Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 service pack 1. Users will also be able to host SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 as an "enlightened guest" on the next version of Microsoft Windows Server, code-named Longhorn, using the Windows Server virtualization technology.
