Submission + - Flying penguins found by BBC programme

polyp2000 writes: Camera crews discovered a colony of Adélie penguins while filming on King George Island, some 750 miles south of the Falkland Islands. BBC1 viewers will see the penguins not only take flight from the Antarctic wastes, but fly thousands of miles to the Amazonian rainforest to find winter sun. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2008/04/01/npenguin101.xml

Submission + - Million Pound Jukebox Taking on The Music Industry

polyp2000 writes: "Alex Tews Million Dollar homepage has spawned a multitude of imitators and few are enjoying Alex Tew's success. However, I stumbled across this interesting twist on the idea. Social networking site Bandwagon launched today an offshoot project called millionpoundjukebox.com, which promises £500,000 given away to unsigned bands; and 20 bands will receive smaller cash payouts of £25,000 each.
This looks like quite a nice idea — I wondered if anyone else has come across any other interesting twists on the Million Dollar Homepage of note? Hands up to them though, and its nice to know that Artists will be getting their fair share instead of the MCPS and Labels!"
