Seriously, though. A big RC plane can carry enough explosives to cause chaos in a crowd, perhaps even severe injuries.
I don't deny that (it'd have to be a fairly big RC plane, though). It's the "state-threatening" part I take issue with.
Unless the model plane is the size of a 747 or the explosive is anit-matter, how is that a "... state-threatening act of violence." Is Germany in such dire straits that a single model aircraft can topple a whole country?
Exactly what I though when I first read TFS. I mean seriously, a bomb-laden RC plane couldn't take out a random balcony. They'd be better off strapping C-4 to a bunch of swallows (European, of course).
Use your skills (or learn new skills) to help people who can't pay you back. I am a volunteer firefighter/EMT and the biggest joy is when the frail old lady you just helped thanks you. I'm sure you can find a number of places where you can make a difference.
Absolutely...MOD UP!!! I've been an EMT, and I completely agree with this. I love IT, but if I could be an EMT full-time without having to worry about making money, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
... maybe if you genetically engineer the broccoli to consist of animal proteins and fat.
If I could make bacon out of broccoli, well, you'd see quite the garden in my yard!
...how fast can it mine Bitcoins.
For that price, it had better hash at 1 GH/s! Money, money, money, money!
My credit union offers two factor authentication. Could a Bitcoin exchange do the same? You bet. But they haven't. The fact is that it's easier to find legit and robust exchanges and institutions in USD than BitCoin.
I believe you're correct in that the exchanges don't use two factor authentication. However, my Bitcoin wallet is an online one (yeah, not so secure, but I only do a little bit of mining...less than $50 in there right now) that definitely does use two factor authentication through the Authy app. Quite simple really, and the exchanges should definitely use something like this.
