The OS is being released for free, or free to Win 8 users. I can't remember the stipulations. And I think Office is free for the first year, then some sort of subscription. Subscriptions are the way of the future, soon you'll download office then to unlock more options it's a subscription or a micro transaction.

It's the feel good society we live in, no one needs to hear an opinion that differs from theirs. People with different opinions or views are "trolls" according to many people. It all goes back to people being told they can't be racist or whatever. Sure you can, it's your right to think however you want, whenever you want. You also have the right to say whatever you want or print whatever you want. The only thing you can't do is use that speech or writing to incite violence (even though that's exactly what our fouding fathers did). But long ago the people that got in charge told everyone else that if they don't think like them they're wrong and they're the problem. It always goes like that. New group comes to power, their ideals are thrust upon you. People that are PC are the worst, they want you to believe that thinking different is wrong.

In most trial you can't bring up crimes that have not been prosecuted or proven. You can't be like hey,"this guy might be a murder for all you know." They can't even locate the people he supposedly wanted to kill.

They brought it up as facts and to try to show the type of person he was, both of these things are wrong. Especially if the defendant couldn't bring up his own ideals to counter the possibly fake ones by the prosecution.

You can only get rid of so many jurors. This is a commone problem now that crimes or supposed crimes are beyond the average juror and judge.

For all of these hackers and hacker groups getting arrested by the FBI. The FBI really wants to read Scarlet Johannson's emails not look at her pics.

That's like saying Canada doesn't own all of Canada because no one stepped on a specific point for 100 years.

Their leaders haven't been assassinated before in recent times. The ones that have travel with security. Like the PM/Pres of the Netherlands, I think he bicycles alone most places. But killing him doesn't send the message that the "leader of the free world" does.

Have you seen the bench mark tests for a 6? They're barely above the 5S, and the lack of inovation really stands out. Since they aren't doing a lot to improve their phones except play catchup it appears to me to be a weaker position. I'm not saying their aren't smart people there, but Steve Jobs was the type that pushed people through being a dick. Everyone said no one can use a digital keyboard, he pushed it and told everyone you'll get used to it and like it more. Now they don't have that drive.

A side note, I have owned many Apple phones and recently went back to Windows Phones. I was never an Apple fanboy, but I was a Steve Jobs fanboy in that he pushed people (very hard) and they made amazing products. His grasp on what people wanted is why Apple survives today, but the lack of that driving force IMHO will slowly push Apple back to the 90s.

I myself had a few laptops. IBM thinkpad, that super thin light Dell of the mid 2000's, then I got an iPad. Instantly I was like, "no need for a laptop anymore," (I still had a desktop for power using and torrents) they're great. The iPad even got my mom into computers more than she ever was, internet shopping, email, imgur, etc. is all because of my first iPad. They're great devices, relatively affordable and pretty affordable on the used market. Enough people buy one every year and put them in cases that you can find super clean ones in great condition. I just think that iPads have done a lot more for kids and older parents and grandparents than any other computing device has done in the last 5 years.
