maybe because while apple products are expensive the other manufacturers focus also on low budget models that doesnt give them the same profit
other phone-manufacturers doesnt receive the income from the *market aswell, when it comes to android, goggle takes that bit
and thoose well-engineered refinements are usually made by other companies and not apple, for now they dont just sell a phone/computer they sell a brand, like those nike shoes that cost 400 us-dollar but they do that they are meant to do, make people being enough comfortable to use them and feel like they are using something top-notch when in reality it is made of the same stuff as the 20 us-dollar shoe

what I understand is that ISP's already "voluntary" block content, that content mostly involves sites with child pornography, that thing people can understand is blocked, but to begin to block hate messages content could lead to "voluntary" blocking of peoples opinion that a state/eu doesn’t like

Why cant people be anonymous?, we are on a place where people can choose to be or not be signed in, if you do want just sensible posts of people that logged in choose another forum for that. There is a lot of eliteness bullshit with the people of this site, where people just down vote anonymous posts because they regard themselves in higher standard when they in fact pack more bull shit than the anonymous users

Submission + - the future of stamps? (wired.com)

Kkloe writes:

At its core, it is a digital stamp and an app. If you want to send a parcel, you’d simply stamp it with a device that uses a laser to etch it with your name and a unique identifying pattern. After that, the USPS would pick up your package; from there, the app would prompt you to provide the name of the person you’re trying to reach.

The problem is, will such a fine print even survive a journey?, how far can you send it before all the handling and sorting will make the mark unreadable to the sorting machines in the delivery office, or even worse maybe they will mark it as a fraudulent stamp(as someone has to pay for the shipping in some way) and they will "throw" it away
