This guy said on radio ...

I believe this is a sovereign state of Nevada and I abide by all of Nevada state laws. But I don’t recognize the United States government as even existing.

I think he's just a deadbeat that's trying to make up stuff to avoid paying his debt. Not sure why he thinks he has the right to the land. It was all the land of the native peoples in that area. If we get nitpicking shouldn't we give the land back to them? Don't they have more of a right to it then this guy? Just saying!

Article 1, Section 2 of the Nevada Constitution says...
All political power is inherent in the people. Government is instituted for the protection, security and benefit of the people; and they have the right to alter or reform the same whenever the public good may require it. But the Paramount Allegiance of every citizen is due to the Federal Government in the exercise of all its Constitutional powers as the same have been or may be defined by the Supreme Court of the United States; and no power exists in the people of this or any other State of the Federal Union to dissolve their connection therewith or perform any act tending to impair, subvert, or resist the Supreme Authority of the government of the United States. The Constitution of the United States confers full power on the Federal Government to maintain and Perpetuate its existence, and whensoever any portion of the States, or people thereof attempt to secede from the Federal Union, or forcibly resist the Execution of its laws, the Federal Government may, by warrant of the Constitution, employ armed force in compelling obedience to its Authority.

No, a liberal would call for people to have personal freedoms. That's what the "liber-" part means.

yeah I agree. If I was liberal seems like I would be saying he should be able to graze anywhere he want's for free man. Peace, Love and Smoke Dope, Man!!!
Same ole thing I am starting to hear all the time; either you agree with me or you're a liberal. Seems like it's the new/old communism. I am for rule by law that's all.

To summarize:

a) Mr. Bundy has purchased the land, grazing and water rights of the areas in question. b) He's paid the appropriate county, state fees. c) The issue is not that he was unwilling to pay BLM, but that the agency basically told all the ranchers they had to reduce their herds by 90% (why, I think this is really about "water", and reducing water usage so more can be routed to Southern California). d) Mr. Bundy refused to capitulate, lose hundreds of thousands of dollars in investments and basically shut down his business on a stroke of an administrator's pen, for a totally unjustified reason.

OK I'll do my research. Do you have any links?

Part of the reason they backed down in Nevada was the hundreds of protesters who showed up armed. Second Amendment rights in action.

LOL; You gotta love how these people that make up arbitrary excuses not to pay their debts. I hope they raid their home while their sleeping and stick a boot up their asses! This guy is a criminal and these people are a bunch of brainwashed anti government wanna be's! Let them die for their beliefs, anything else just proves their a bunch of loser jackholes!

What good would a medical doctor be without CAT,X-Ray,IRM, Ultrasound, antibiotics or vaccines? Go homeopathic?

a new study claims that 98% of the time doctors never run any of those tests but bill for them anyway. They also claim the something like 95% of the medicines they handout are actually inactive or contain sub MED (Minimum Effective Dose)! Bottom line doctors don't need them!

From my observation of the start-up community it seems obvious that 99% of the engineering students should continue to pursue their degrees and work on their dreams of becoming billionaires on the weekend or in their spare time. I am speaking in generalities and could be full of crap! Your mileage will vary!

Most entrepreneurs would not use the product they are working on daily; I know their are exceptions, thanks!

Most of the ideas that people come up with fit into 4 basic categories.
1. The idea is actually a feature that could be implemented in an existing piece of software but it is not worth becoming an actual stand alone business and would probably not bring in any paying business.
2. The idea is actually a really horrible idea and they are either too delusional or have been lied to about how bad it is and they just don't know.
3. The idea can make money; but it's actually an idea that is a business niche and could generate some income but it is not a huge business!
4. The idea is a copycat; unlikely to make money, why go with a copycat when you can go with the original product. Brand inertia is difficult to overcome.

Being part of a start-up is also pretty crappy, Hollywood makes it out to be this big glamorous adventure; The expectation is that you'll spend all your time and excess money into the start-up; it's like being divorced with 3 kids and your ex-wife is a gold digger and drags you back to court every chance she gets to get more money out of you.

Even if you get funded the Angel/VC , seems like the terms are almost interchangeable nowadays, they will want you to still work for free; yeah work for free! I know there's a lot of talk about how much compensation do you take out once your funded but the truth is that it is almost always doesn't happen.

If your lucky enough to make it all the way to the end and sell out to larger business or go public your compensation at the end is usually comparable to those that worked professionally during that same period of time or less.

Even with all that though it still depends on what your long term goals; if you want to get experience in building a business and leveraging finance then it could end up being worth it. If your expectation is a really painful get rich quick scheme I'd advise staying away.

Why does 95+% of the world's high-quality commercial software come out of the US?

This is a good point. I always laugh that people are so naive to think that outsourcing is a good idea.

If 3rd world countries could build great software they would be first world countries, yet...they aren't.

Silicon Valley is not in India or China or BFE.... That doesn't mean that there aren't talented people from those countries in Silicon Valley..Yet they are in Silicon Valley... My opinion is that outsourcing is mostly a scam, I would never do it in my company.
