21 year old here, thought I'd chime in to make you feel old. Found Slashdot through some tech news site a couple years ago and been checking daily ever since. Helps me to remember how little I actually know about anything.

Well, this still seems to happen in China — one Chinese couple has sold all three of their children for real cash to trade for online gaming cash.
