Sadly, it's not so recent as you think, just the media hype is more recent.

Bullshit, only in rally and low traction surfaces is skidding or sliding usefull.
Especially in highspeed racing, such as F1, they do everything possible to prevent it.
Right up until you do one time lose control and crash into someone and take an innocent life.
You are just one more of those dumb "the law wasn't written for ME" asswipes.
Bullshit, size is relatively unimportant.
Actually compared to finland, with it's low population density and extreme climate, 90% of the usa is piss easy to do.
It's just greed and cartel forming that are making it so bad and expensive in the USA.
Above the polecircle, it gets worse, usually only "edge" coverage outside of towns. There is a few area's that have bad coverage, but "dropped calls" is something i've only ever experienced outside of Finland.
The united states has a higher % of urban population than finland, and if anything, with that big a scale, it should be easier to make it cheaper, not harder.....
And lapland has a population density of only 2 people per square km, what's your point?
a large part of the finnish population lives in the south, but the north has the exact same phone contracts.
Although they might not have 4G coverage there
And even relatively "basic" drivers, like myself get the benefit of a manual when you have to drive a lot downhill and can just enginebrake instead of cooking your discs.
Finland 17 people per square km
United states 33 people per square km
Normal phone package at 20 euro's
5000 minutes+5000 messages.
max 21 mbit mobile net(where available) unlimited data.
early 90's seagate drives, i rest my case.....
a katana is just a basic, light bastard sword with only 1 cutting edge.
Especially in old times, they were made of pisspoor iron, since japan had such limited resources.
Katana's where status symbols, not combat weapons, even the nobles mostly used bows and spears in combat
Wrong, swords are hopeless against armoured opponents, most "knights" used axes and maces instead.
A sword, other than some of the big doublehanders, was a gentleman's weapon, usually not used in battle at all.
most mayor cities(it does get worse in the countryside) that's overpaying quite a bit for 200mbit down.
around 50 euro for 200 mbit nowadays(10 up)
Toyota's nowadays are more made in america than cevy's...
Living on Earth may be expensive, but it includes an annual free trip around the Sun.
