SWAT surrounded the house. FTFA "A male resident of the home, identified only as Doug B. in the District Attorney's complaint, heard rustling outside the home and walked into the backyard with a kitchen knife in his hand."

An anonymous reader writes: Kotaku tells of a mod that twists the premise of DEFCON, a nuclear war game of MAD, into a happy holiday hurrah — folks give gifts instead of missiles to children around the globe, and abominable snowmen pummel the gifts with snowballs.
The homepage explains the assembly hacking needed and shows a RFID-tag version of DEFCON that encourages players to physically run around a room scanning boxes.

Journal Journal: Ask Da Dot: User Auditing of Oracle Databases?

Damn it Jim, I'm a Software Developer, not a DBA! Yes, over the course of my career, I've designed and implemented many a DB schema. I know my way around Oracle. I understand primary and foreign keys and indexes etc. But sometimes when dealing with unfamiliar tables and code, it's quicker to "futz around" with data in the tables until I get the desired results.
