Submission + - DRM problems when switching between 2 XBox360
An anonymous reader writes: I usually don't like Bill Thompson's "articles", but this one is interesting. He explains the hassles he encountered when migrating his son's XBox360 to a new one: specific cable, lost licenses that must be recreated, etc. The 'funniest' part being that the original XBox drive is wiped after the migration, meaning you are risking a total loss if anything goes wrong on the new XBox. Mmmmh, backups...
It's a good illustration of the problems faced with content control (DRM) and the stupidities that come with it.
