They should not be in college and at some schools people on the Football team get a free pass in just about all classes.
we need single payer health care in the usa and not let the GOP take us back to the old system where they will use tech like this to get out of having to pay for just about anything.
maybe but enterprise rent a car will bill you the 30K + lost of use even when a new car costs less.
airports are reduced rights zones after 9/11
There should be 1 federal IT agency that can do all / most of the government IT with out all of the consulting / contracting / subcontracting overhead.
Talking about the non theory classes that are pure filler and fluff that are Not part of your core or gen edu's. can be replaced with classes that cover the more hands on parts of your core classes.
And comparing the cost of just one forced "PE" class (some schools want to have more then just 1) in a degree to the MUCH LOWER COST of a 2 YEAR fitness club membership that is OPEN 24 hours a day as well.
well rounded cool but not at today's price levels.
In the past when you where able to work part time and go to school without big loans all of that well rounded stuff was ok. But now days the costs are to high and people need to learn more hands on skills in IT in school. Why should be forced to take an PE class at a cost that is way more then BUYING a 2 YEAR fitness club membership.
that may be right I know this one guy is a coder and went to a state school and I am finding bugs in his code all the time.
You can make more working full time at min wage (in a non tech job) and if you hit OT you get payed more.
Who offered that shit pay?
doctors like single player systems as they don't have to put up that much paper work and billing BS.
MS does hire people with less then that.
Google is the one that wants people with masters / PHD's.
4 year degrees have a lot theory with big sides of fluff / filler classes.
While tech schools and community college have teachers who have been / still are working in a real work place doing IT work.
the 4 years places not so much.
Some places want them to fill lower-level rolls and low pay as it's much cheaper and they locked into the job.
Now maybe if there was say very high H-1b min wage say 100K + COL and forced OT pay (so they can't get the work 2-3 people out of 1 h-1b) that would get rid of a lot of the abuse of the system.
they can't find people who will work 60-80+ hours for very low pay and the will to be in a place where they can't quit and will be big suck ups not to get fired.
It's not about skills it about this
On average, applications for H-1B workers in computer occupations were for wages $13,000 LESS then what USC get.
$13000 less and they get 60+ work weeks out of them as well.
