Can't blame silicon valley when 19 kids and counting is on the home TV every night.
Don't know where you have been hiding the last week, but that show has been pulled due to various allegations.

It's valued at $41 billion because of the private investors it has.... who might be idiots
Do you mean the ones who loan Uber for free the means for Uber to collect their revenue
A taxi that they were riding in was struck by another vehicle and the pair were ejected from the taxi.
Why don't we wear seatbelts in taxi cabs? Is it even legal to not wear seat belts?
Its hard to convince Americans in general to wear seat belts.
Sorry but that is not a very big market.
Ya think that in 40 years there might have been some improvements in propulsion technology????
The Williams X-Jet did it better and did it 40 years ago.
45 min duration, speeds of up to 60 mph, and no flying in a straight line over water, but flying in and around trees over land!
That would be timothy, the editor from hell.
I know think of him as [southparkVoice] Timmie [/southparkVoice]
Well, good luck with that.
After reading another comment, and looking at TFS again, I concur with the other poster that the bit you are complaining about was added by our favorite [southparkVoice] Timmie [/southparkVoice] and not the OP.
Motorola Razr v3xx is probably one of the best handsets of all time.
Which is why I still use my 7 year old Razr. The only problem I have now is that something is sporadically killing the jog-dial (not sure if it is mechanical or electrical or software), which makes a bunch of functionality impossible to use. Fortunately I have my wife's old Razr of the same era as a backup.
As a bonus for my model Razr (depending on your paranoia)
In the Ars story about this they pointed out a website that tracks beaches that I hadn't heard of before: ';--have i been pwned?
I plugged my email addresses into this and found out that I had been a part of the Adobe breach fro October 2013. And I don't remember Adobe telling me about it
That's got propellers, and its go tubes, but no wires so its not a drone, its crude mockup.
It might even be just a rendering of pipes and propellers even, certainly not an engineering rendering.
I assume they'll try to crowd fund it without a working prototype?
From this link Hycopter Runs Off Fuel Cells it has a wonderful little bit of design data:
The intelligent design involved in the Hycopter would allow it to stash 120 grams (4.2 oz) of hydrogen gas at 350 bar (5,076 psi) in its current structural tubing, and this means that there would be no need for any kind of separate canister.
5000psi?!?!??! Seriously?!?!? (and there is a religious joke in there as well) I'm not buying that until I see the damn thing fly. Oh and BTW
The refillable tubes will eventually be made from polymer-lined 5 mm-thick carbon fiber tubing as opposed to clear acrylic that is part of the pictured display model. It is touted that that amount of hydrogen ought to be able to deliver a similar amount of energy as 3 kg (6.6 lb) of lithium batteries.
Agh, wtf is a salad?
Apparently you need some help with understanding something. So here is a helpful link: Word salad
Try Google.
I have one on my keyring. I know exactly what it is, and what it is used for.
In other words you have prior information that makes sense out of the word salad that passes for summaries these days.
The rest of use just look at the summary and go WTF?!?!?!?
And yes, I have heard of that Google thing, but one of the prime tenets of good communication is to not make your audience go elsewhere for fundamental information. Because sooner or later they will be going to other sources for all of their information and will be by-passing you completely.
I've never considered the sales and marketing people to be the smartest part of any organisation. They have a limited scope of action and limited deliverables.
Yet without sales and marketing you have no revenue and your whole business grinds to a halt.
So does this mean Apple Maps will stop guiding people out into the middle of nowhere, off cliffs and into lakes?
Do you mean like every other nav system in the world also does?
The only SciFi franchise I'm familiar with that has sensibly designed ships is the Honor Harrington series by David Weber.
That is because Honor Harrington IS 17th to 19th century naval warfare dressed up as sci-fi. You can also see exactly the same thing going on in his Safehold series, where he is basically retelling the history of warfare as a backdrop to the story.
