If they are a private security firm contracting with local law enforcement then wouldn't local law enforcement still be required to comply with open records requests concerning that contract and services provided? I contracted that out, shouldn't alleviate the burden of records keeping or requests.

Would you call a motorcycle gang "snobs"?

I'm not so sure I would call them motor cycle gangs anymore at least not in the mid-west they are more like motor cycle clubs and they do a lot of charity work.

My brother joined mensa when he was in college at the urging of one of his professors, but didn't like it. He is smart and always has a bunch of interesting projects going in his spare time, but rarely finishes any of them.

They are not profiting from public parking in the way these people are. They are being contracted by the city to provide a wanted service just like the construction crews contracted to do road repairs.

At no point did the city contract anyone to sit in a parking space on a crowded street and auction it off to highest bidder because the people cried out to the city officials that there were not enough douches on the road.

The city (at least the one I live in) contracts that service, not only are you responsible for the tow fee you are also responsible for a fine should you leave your car parked to long it is tagged for fine after 72 hours (as an abandoned vehicle) and towed after an additional 48 hours. I'm not sure how long you have to get it out of the city impound but if you don't they eventually auction them off.

Most of the vehicles towed and impounded here are just broke down and left on the side of the road.

In 2012, the United States alone produced roughly 32 million tons of plastic waste

Operating continuously, the plant can convert up to 10 tons of plastic per day into 60 barrels of oil, with zero toxic emissions.

So just one years worth of the US's plastic waist could be turned in 192 million barrels unfortunately they can't handle that kind of volume.

The roughly 21k barrel produced by a facility like this in a year would make a very tiny dent in in the 6.89 billion barrels a year we use http://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/...
