Comment Re:Trial and extradition were never the goal (Score 1) 345

I don't want to say whether or not Ron Paul is the best choice out there, but the claim the private sector can do a better job in the same thread as complaining about corporate media abusing power seems a bit at odds. I mean if private sector completely controlled the space program do you somehow think they WOULDN'T abuse it?

I would only think there would be an issue if he didn't pay importation taxes and tariffs for the goods he is selling. Not to mention use taxes etc his state is going to charge him. I'm willing to bet he isn't though and he is just buying them as a private person and reselling them the same way without paying/collecting any taxes.

So aka, don't publish findings to try to secure grants for further research until said research is already done. Makes sense.

I didn't see anything calling for a ban. Just a possible link. I haven't even seen anyone saying they should ban it. I personally think it should be used more sparingly than it was before since there is a potential link since bees are so important to agriculture and the Colony Collapse disorder is a real major concern. If research shows that there is no real connection I don't see anything wrong with continuing to use it and if research shows there is a link, we need to stop using it. If a drug has shown a possible link to cancer in the majority of patients it is prescribed to, how would you feel about your doctor prescribing it to you if he knew that ongoing research was being done on the potential safety of the drug? It wouldn't be banned but I would prefer my doctor prescribe an alternative medication.

Comment Re:Do you shop at just one brick and mortar? (Score 1) 196

Most brick and mortar don't have a database where they store my financial information with an easy web portal to target it. Some might, but the credit card and user records from Walmart.com aren't the same ones as Walmart brick and mortar. I can't go to Walmart use a credit card there then sign in to Walmart.com to use the same card. And I'm pretty sure for brick and mortar there isn't a user record unless I have a club membership card.

Comment Re:Thanks for educating people Sony (Score 1) 293

I'm not sure what this story has to say about DRM... Sony did not remove the game from peoples' devices from what I understand, just stopped selling it in their store. If that's severe DRM then DAMN Nintendo and Sony! Their horrible DRM on their Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Master System has cause me not to be able to buy the original games anymore!

DRM is an important topic to rally against, removing items from a store for not good reasons is something we should rally against. We should not confuse one for the other.
