Netflix first offered to put a CDN within the Verizon network, at Verizon's cost. Saying "Here, take my rackmount server and stick it in your network, but I'm not going to pay you your rate for hosting a data intensive colocated server". Fuck that.

And, not, technically speaking, that is not throttling and paid prioritization. It may be in spirit, I don't deny that, but it's also something that you can't really police. You can't force companies to upgrade all of their peers to maximum incoming and outgoing bandwidth at their own cost. It's not an industry practice, it's not lawful, it's not reasonable.

Have you been on ThinkGeek lately? It's basically the modern Hot Topic in internet form. The front page of both websites contains Doctor Who, Marvel, Minecraft, Star Wars, and a number of other primary properties. The days of USB rocket launchers are in the past. Hot Topic was a great buyer for ThinkGeek(and awful for all of the other properties). Much better than GameStop from that perspective

Yes, plugged in to a USB 2.0 slot on my computer charging my phone. I never stated overtly or insinuated that I had a type A slot on my phone. That's stupid and ridiculous. Again, OP said USB 3.0 cables don't work on USB 2.0 slots. The default cable type is type A, with special non-standard connectors on the other end for nearly every major manufacturer. Without specifying a specific type, the only assumption to be made is type A, and type A is backward compatible.

I didn't say it did.

OP said: Probably Apple looked at what they did for USB 3.0 and decided it was fairly stupid, since now a USB 3.0 cable won't fit in anything other than USB 3 ports.

I said since when since my USB 3.0 cable works just fine in USB 2.0 ports. No one said anything about micro or mini.
